I AIMS: Training Ss writing skills about how to write a C.V.(curriculum vitae)

II OBJECTIVE: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to write a simple C V

and write about a person's background basing on a C V

A.WARM – UP:

Questioning.

1 What is it?

2 When do we use it?

3 What kinds of information are there in the C.V?

- Show a C.V that teacher prepared in advance

- Ask some questions

- Tell ss that they are going to write about people’s background base on the C.V

Listen and answer the questions

B PRE – WRIRING:

Read Mr Brown’s C.V and find out the elements of

a C.V

Elements of a C.V:

+Personal information: name, sex, date of birth,

place of birth.

+ Education : name of a high school/ a university

+ Previous jobs: teacher/ tourist guide/ etc ( time)

+ Interest: dancing/ swimming/ etc

- Ask ss to read Mr

Brown’s C.V and find out the

elements of a C.V

- Give correction

- Read Mr Brown’s C.V and find out the elements

of a C.V

- Listen and take notes

C WHILE – WRITING:

 Task 3:

Use the prompts to build up a narrative about a

hotel fire

(Textbook, page 18)below: be born, from…to,

travel agency, like go to…….school, pass exams

in……, work as…

*Answer: Mr Brown was born on November 12 th ,

1969 in Boston He went to Kengsinton High

School and passed exams in English, French and

Maths He worked in a travel agency form June

1991 to December 1998 And from 1999 to 2002,

he worked as hotel telephonist He likes music and

dancing.

- Ask ss to work independently and write a paragraph about Mr Brown, using the cues in textbook Go around to help

- Have Ss compare their writing with a friend and ask them

to check whether the information about Mr Brown is correct or not

- Listen

- Write the passage into their drafts

- Exchange their drafts

Work in pairs Ask your partner about his/her

parent and complete the form in textbook

- Ask ss to work in pairs to do task 2 on page 38

- Go around to observe
