1 Objectives:

a Knowledge: By the end of the lesson, SS will be able to know more about the daily life of a

farmer

b Skills: Guessing meaning in context, scanning for specific information & passage comprehension.

c Attitude: Teacher is able to help Ss become aware of the daily life of a farmer.

2 Teacher’s preparation:

a Teaching aids: Textbook E10, Posters, cards, etc

b Student’s preparation: Prepare ten new words relating to reading lesson.

3 Procedures:

a Class order : greeting and checking attendance.

b Preview of the previous lesson or warm-up activity: 5-10 minutes.

5’ WARMER: MATCHING (Group A and B ):

Choose the correct pairs of words :

- WARMER: MATCHING

- Teacher asks students to work in two groups

- Each member tries to match the information in A with the information in B

- The group will be the winner

if that group has more correct answers than the other does

 Set the scene : You are going to read 2 passages about a day in the life of 2 farmers

TASK 1: Choose the option A, B, or C that best suits the meaning of the italicized word(s):

o T calls on Ss to work in pair, ask and answer questions about the reading content

o T goes around the whole class, listens to their discussion, checks some words and structures and helps Ss if possible

o T asks some pairs to practice in front of the class, some students to write down their answers

on the black board

about the daily activities of Mr Vy and these of Mrs Tuyết; (2) Learn your lesson; (3) Prepare the speaking lesson
