B Speaking

1 Class description: 25 third-year students (Ss), 25 girls

Department of English, Faculty of Foreign Languages, TNU

2 Time: 45m

3 Objectives:

- Skill: After the lesson, Ss will be able to

+ speak about their timetable (time, subjects)

+ speak about their daily routine and other

+ know the way to write their timetable

+ improve their speaking skill (listening, sharing, understanding …)

- Language: Ss will be able to

+ use simple tense

+ learn and use the name of subjects

+ improve speaking and pronunciation skills (fluency)

4 Assumed knowledge:

5 Anticipated problem(s):

+ There may be lack of time, teacher (T) will rid of one game

+ The class maybe noisy, teacher will move around the class to control effectively

6 Teaching aid: pictures, papers, markers.

7 Procedure:

7.1 Warm-up:(5m)

*Organize the class into fan club

-introduce the name of club: “Talk about

the hot boy”

-introduce some information about

character “hot boy-Quan” and his picture

-introduce member’s tasks by the way:

+be fans of Quan

+be required to investigate about Quan’s

daily, secretly (detective)

+share the result

*Start the club

<>Ask Ms to share Quan’s timetable

(task 1)(12m)

-introduce subjects by giving pictures

( cover of textbooks)

-organize:

+device club into 2 group: Tom & Jerry

+give the rules:

Give a picture which group raise the

hand first, will answer If it is true-get

1point If false, another group answers

-listen carefully -become fans of Quan

-understand their tasks

-look at the pictures and give the

answers

-attract Ss to the lesson

-make likely atmosphere -help Ss understand about their tasks in club

-help Ss know the main contents of the lesson

-identify name of subject base on the cover of textbook

-call someone to read the list

-give Quan’s timetable

-give the form of question and answer

-ask Ms to write their timetable at home

d he goes to the stadium at 17:00

e he plays soccer at 17:15

f he goes home at 18:30

g he takes a shower at 18:45

h he has dinner at 19:00

i he does his homework at 20:00

-call someone to retell Quan’s activities

+ask another Ms in his/her group to guess

correct answer first, get 1 point, and

another group will not be accepted to

answer

+check the answers

-call her/him to retell the passage

-ask Ms to write the timetable

-ask Ms to write and practice their daily

routine

-prepare a passage about daily routine

+ go to the board to perform the

activities + guess his/her activities
