I Objectives:

By the end of period, Ss will be able to: listen to dialogues about someone’ job and tick, look and write the missing word under the each picture

II Language Focus:

+ Revision the words: numbers

+ Revision the sentence: What does your … do? He/she ‘s …

III Resources: Posters, flashcards, text book, lesson plan, tape, speaker…

IV Procedures :

I Warm- up: (5’) Play Bingo Game, using vocabulary about jobs

II. New lesson (20’)

1.Listening (15’)

a Pre-listening

-Tell Ps that they are going to listen to three dialogues about time and tick the correct pictures

- Have Ss open the book page 13, and identify the jobs

b While-listening - Play the tape

*1st:Play the recording all the way through for Ss to listen while they are looking the pictures in their books

*2nd: play the recording for Ss to listen and tick the correct pictures

- Have Ss trade their answers in pairs for correction

*3rd: play the recording for Ss to check their answers

- Ask Ss to trade their answer

c Post-listening: -call some ss give the key

Brother

- Compare with their partner

- listen and remarks

- play the tape one more

- ask Ss to repeat the listening

2 Writing :

a Pre-writing - Tell Ss that they are going to answer about jobs using the

picture cues

a While-writing: - Tell Ss read and complete the sentences in pairs

- Ask Ss to trade their answer

b Post-writing: - Ask some Ss to read aloud their answers to the class.

- Listen and correct

- Check Ss’comprehension Answer:

1 family

2 farmer

3 is a nurse

4 is a driver

5 is a factory worker

6 a pupil

- Have the whole class to read each sentences to reinforce their pronunciation

3 Let’s sing -Tell them that they are going to sing a song

- Hang poster of the song My Family on the board Have them

read each line of the lyrics Explain the new words or structures, if necessary Check comprehension

-Play the recording all the way through Ask Ps to do choral and individual repetition of the song When pupils are familiar with the tune, ask a group to the front of the class to sing the song The class may sing along and clap hands or do actions -Have the class sing the song again and clap their hands or do actions reinforce the activity

4 Homework : - Prepare for Lesson 2, part 1, 2, 3- Unit 12
