If there were secrets by which ordinary men and women could become wealthy, one would think that these secrets would be heavily guarded, locked in an airtight vault, and never disclosed to anyone

In the past this may have been the case, but as we enter the information age, the

secrets of the rich are available to all who have the insight to ask the above question All that is needed is the persistence to dig through the endless rubble of information now available to anyone with access to a computer and the Internet

In fact, that brings me to what I think is the hardest part about uncovering the wealth secrets of the rich; Being able to decipher the authentic and factual information from the flawed and often contradicting mis-information that seems to dominate the World Wide Web

So, essentially, one of the most important secrets, or skills I should say, is to be able

to weave through the web of fallacies to find the truth The truth is out there, it's simply waiting to be discovered but it's like finding a needle in a cyber haystack! And of

course, you have to be able to recognize it when you see it or hear it

"The 90/10 Rule states that 10% of the people own 90% of the wealth."

A Wall Street Journal article published on September 13, 1999 supports this rule stating that 90% of all company stocks were owned by 10% of the wealthiest families in

America, who owned 73% of all the wealth

This prompts the question, what do those 10% of the people know or do that the

remaining 90% do not know or do? You may also be asking yourself… “Well how can

I become a part of that 10% and achieve financial freedom for myself and my family?

Many people are searching for the one hidden secret, or hot stock tip, or piece of advice that will instantly make them rich beyond their wildest dreams Does such a secret exist? Maybe, but I wouldn't risk my future wellbeing hoping to discover it!

There are, however, many wealth secrets that have been shared and passed down from generation to generation (either verbally or through the written word) by individuals who have discovered the secrets to becoming wealthy

These wealth secrets may or may not lead to instantaneous wealth and prosperity, but they do exist nonetheless, and when embraced may lead one to a life of great affluence

Finding Hope through all of the Hype

Through my reading and research on this topic of attaining wealth and prosperity, I have come across many experts or gurus (if you will) that claim to know the secrets to

achieving this noble and worthy goal Many have provided information that I consider to

be mostly hype and utter nonsense, and have done so mainly to promote their own gain and the fattening of their own wallets at the expense of everyone else

This type of person may receive a temporary increase in wealth as a result of their efforts, but their wealth usually will not last once their true motives become discovered More so, these self-proclaimed experts will never know the true meaning of abundance

These individuals can usually be seen or heard, spouting the "Get Rich Quick" mantra,

or other, but yet similar types of absurd and ridiculous claims Learn to spot these individuals quickly and run from them like the plague or you may spend a fortune only to realize that you've helped to build theirs!

This being said, there are many such experts out there, that have nothing but the best of intentions when it comes to helping others master the secrets of creating a legacy of wealth People like Wallace D Wattles, Andrew Carnegie, Napoleon Hill, Mark Victor Hansen, Robert Kiyosaki, Deepak Chopra, Nick Murray, Joe Vitale, Robert G Allen, Jim Edwards, Rosalind Gardner, and many more that I don't want to leave out, but have too

Abundance exists everywhere we look in nature Take a moment to contemplate the air you are breathing right now It is this vital, invisible substance that sustains your very life, for without fresh oxygen to breathe; you and the rest of the animal species on this planet would surely die Luckily, for us all, this natural resource exists abundantly within the Earth's atmosphere

As you take a deep breath, quietly imagine that you are standing on your favorite beach Feel the countless grains of sand that conform to your feet and line the shore Look out into the vast and endless body of water that was once the primordial seas and the origin

of all life on Earth Water dominates two thirds of our planet's surface, and even our own bodies are made up of over 60% water It too is an abundant resource that is vital to our existence

When the sun sets upon the shore and night creeps across the land, look upwards into the sky Try to imagine, if you can, the boundlessness of the universe Stand in awe at the immeasurable number of stars that gleam and sparkle in the enormous void that we call space

Now come back down to Earth and visualize an oak tree Each year it releases

thousands of leaves that fall to the ground as autumn makes way for winter Then, like magic, each spring thousands of new leaves unfold to bring forth new life and absorb the vital energy of the summer sun How many Oak trees do you think there are on this planet?

1 Where did all of these myriad life forms come from?

2 What is the source of all of this abundance?

3 If abundance is everywhere in nature, why is there so much lack and scarcity among us humans?

4 What does any of this have to do with cultivating wealth consciousness?

To properly answer these questions I would have to write a bigger book (don't worry I’m working on it) However, for the purpose of our discussion, I'll try to be brief If it doesn't all make sense to you right away, know that I will explore these concepts in greater detail as time goes on In the meantime, continue to meditate on these questions You may be surprised at what is revealed to you when you simply continue to entertain certain questions

Wealth Consciousness is first and foremost a state of mind It is not so much a belief, as

it is an understanding of an eternal truth Wealth Consciousness begins to emerge when you recognize that abundance is your natural state of being When you are

grounded in the abundance of the universe, you no longer have to worry about not having enough money When you radiate the energy of abundance, money will simply begin appearing in your life, almost as if by magic I know that seems hard to believe, but after truly cultivating and embracing wealth consciousness, I know that you'll become

a believer!

One problem with modern day economics is that it is all centered on what economists call "the Law of Scarcity." This "law" is based on the human observation that there is a limited and finite amount of resources available to us all and that once these resources have been used up they are gone forever

Humanity, presuming that this is true, has given scarcity the title of "law", but in ultimate reality, this observation of our depleting resources is in error The whole concept of scarcity is nothing more than an illusion, a fallacy created by the human mind

"The truth is, that you were born into a world of endless prosperity and abundance, only the majority of humanity has simply forgotten this."

Before we could go to the nearest store and buy almost anything we wanted or needed,

we had to acquire our most basic needs from the natural world Our main concern was survival, and in order to survive we needed food, water, and shelter from the elements

Humans conceived of the idea of scarcity through our earliest experiences of hunting and gathering food, seeking shelter and surviving in a prehistoric world We noticed that the animals had to hunt and strive to get enough food, as did we We saw others who could not acquire enough food, and die because of it We saw fierce competition for food, shelter, and the necessities of survival

It appeared to our earliest ancestors through this observation, that the Earth had a limited amount of resources, for which they had to compete for enough of what they needed in order to survive And so it is, that this illusion of scarcity is passed on from generation to generation to this very day

Despite the obvious clues that nature has provided for us, we still can't believe that we live in a world of endless abundance Why is this? It is so, simply, because we have observed otherwise and it is in human nature to believe only that which we can see with our own two eyes Sometimes, the truth may even be visible all around us, but we

choose to see only what we want to see Just as we may all choose to believe that which

of reality becomes vastly different

Our universe is naturally abundant The universe creates life from a formless and

inexhaustible source of energy that is the wellspring of all living things (this is what I

call The Source of Infinite Abundance) It does so perpetually and without end Life

forms are born into this world, live temporarily and then die After which, they return to this source energy, only to be recycled into new life forms This process is continuous and everlasting

"In science, it is well known that matter cannot be created nor destroyed but may only change forms

This is what is happening behind the scenes of everyday life."

Our world and planet contains an unlimited amount of resources and new resources are evolving each and every day There is enough for everyone on the planet Even today, there is enough wealth and money in the world that everyone could be fed and provided with the necessities needed to survive Only, the majority of the wealth in the world is held in the hands of the few

This is not because the wealthy 10% of the population is greedy, selfish, and cruel In reality, it is because only a small percentage of the population has truly mastered one or more of the 5 Wealth Secrets to Infinite Abundance Yes, it's true that some people have been given greater opportunities than others to master these secrets, but today (with the invention of the internet and the emergence of the information age) the playing field has been leveled greatly

4 You must act on this belief, this internal knowing, by incessantly

cultivating your wealth consciousness

To do this, you should sit in daily meditation to connect with the source at a minimum of 5-10 minutes a day, more if possible Meditation will improve your life in many aspects but it is also a primary way to activate the law of attraction

Use positive affirmations that confirm your new beliefs of your abundant nature Read these statements with positive emotion, feeling, and a knowing that is beyond doubt or skepticism

Also, begin a never-ending journey in the pursuit of knowledge, study a variety of topics

including: money, the sciences, philosophies, the world religions and spirituality, but

especially this subject of the enlightened way to wealth and prosperity Read and study

with an open mind, but cross-reference everything you read with your internal knowing of the truth This will become easier as you go

As long as you continue to believe in the fallacy of scarcity, you are more likely to attract scarcity into your life When you choose to embrace the truth of your abundant nature and radiate this feeling from within, it will spiral outward, permeating the energy field of the universe This feeling of abundance will activate the law of attraction causing

increasing abundance to flow back to you This is the basic principle behind the law of attraction

If we were to instead come from a place of abundance and think thoughts of our

abundance, we would begin to radiate this higher energy frequency and attract

more abundant energy into our lives, which manifests itself physically as more money, or that which we want, need, and desire

The key is to know that we have everything that we need already and if there is anything that we truly do need, it will come to us in due time, as long as we are grateful and come from a place of inner abundance

wealth secret number two: Become Financially Literate, has probably created the most multi-millionaires, and multi-billionaires of them all The reason is because when you understand what money is and how the world of money works, then getting money to flow into your hands becomes mere child's play

At the heart of the business world, and the world of money is financial literacy Just like our ability to survive and function in today's society becomes so much easier when we know how to read and write (versus being illiterate and unable to do so), our financial ability to survive and function in today's world is greatly enhanced by our understanding

of money matters and our financial literacy

What's more, is they discovered that less than 40 percent of high school students

receive any formalized financial education A third of the teenagers said they learned about money and finances by figuring it out on their own In other words, this vitally important subject is not being taught in today's schools

Well, if it's not being taught in school, kids must be learning financial literacy by

observing and talking with their parents The only problem with this is that America got a

"D" for the second year in a row, according to the results of Bankrate.com's Financial Literacy Survey This statistically valid survey of 1,000 Americans, conducted for

Bankrate by RoperASW, reveals the average score of just 66 on the standard 0-100

scale America gets a "D" in financial literacy for the second time

Maybe the reason why they don't teach financial literacy in school is because the

teacher's don't know the subject well enough to teach it?

In Robert Kiyosaki's best selling book "Rich Dad Poor Dad: What the Rich Teach Their

Kids about Money- That the Poor and Middle Class Do Not!" He makes the simple

observation:

"The rich buy assets

The poor only have expenses

The middle class buys liabilities they think are assets."

He further makes the statement that "most people struggle financially because they do not know the difference between an asset and a liability." According to Kiyosaki, an asset and a liability cannot be defined by words, but rather by the numbers on your income statement and balance sheet, and most importantly what these numbers are telling you

In order to get rich, you have to be able to read the numbers of course you also have

to know the difference between the income statement and the balance sheet This is why financial literacy is so important, especially if you do not know the difference

between these two financial documents

It most cases this is pretty easy to determine, but think for a moment about your

automobile Is the vehicle you are driving an asset or a liability? That depends on what definition of an asset you are using Some will say "yes, your car is an asset.", others

definition, your car is a liability because it is taking money out of your pocket

To clarify when you first buy your shiny, new automobile you shell out anywhere

from $15,000 to $50,000 or more (depending on what type of vehicle you must drive) Then, you must pay for gasoline to make the auto run Sooner or later, something stops working and you have to pay to have it repaired and on and on it goes, until you sell it (for a small fraction of what you paid for it), or trade it in on another brand new, shiny liability!

Just as the first wealth secret encourages you to continuously cultivate your wealth

consciousness, the second wealth secret is a subset of this 'journey in the pursuit of

knowledge.' However, it is more specifically focusing on your ability to read and

understand numbers, financial statements, business and finance, investing or more basically put "understanding how the world of money works."

"Does this mean I need to go back to school?" The answer to this question is YES and NO Well, more like a maybe! It all depends on who you are, what your goals are, and how you want to go about increasing your financial literacy

Although, I would never discourage anyone from going to college to get a degree, a second degree, or even just taking a class here or there; I would like to point out that going back to college is not a necessary requirement to increase your financial literacy There are many benefits of attending a university or a technical school, etc but tuition, books, and all the other associated expenses can cost you a small fortune (and even cause you to go deeply into debt.)

More importantly, don't forget we are in the information age now! The

information within a hundred thousand libraries and millions upon millions of books are right underneath your fingertips!

If you have access to the Internet, a little spending cash, and the desire and discipline needed to learn, you have everything you could possibly need to attain an exceptional education at a small fraction of the cost

However, I want to stress that you have to be willing to learn, to read the books, listen to the audios, absorb the information, and most importantly APPLY WHAT YOU LEARN If you're like me and love to take in new knowledge then this might be your chosen path to financial literacy

1 You don't have to take tests (besides the only test that really matters LIFE!)

2 You get to learn at your own pace, not just a crash course study session before

This pattern is what is known as evolutionary transcendence To transcend means to rise above or go beyond, and that is what we see happening throughout the universe and especially on Earth As the universe evolved, stars formed first, which then gave birth to galaxies, which evolved into solar systems and planets, which gave birth to life Life evolved on Earth and over billions of years has produced creatures of increasing complexity, and reaching states of higher and higher levels of consciousness
