a) Adjective:

Tính từ là từ hay một cụm từ bổ nghĩa cho một danh từ (a noun), hay một đại từ (a pronoun).

b) This is an interesting book.

b) Position: ( vị trí )

- Tính từ đứng trước danh từ Ex : an old house.

- Tính từ theo sau động từ Ex : He looks sad.

- Tính từ đứng sau đại từ như: something, everything, someone, nothing,

anything….

a) Adjective:

c) Adverb: Trạng từ là từ hay cụm từ bổ nghĩa cho động từ thường, một

tính từ hay một trạng từ khác.

- This area is very noisy ( bổ nghĩa cho tính từ )

Form: Adjective + Ly = Adverb

Note: - Nếu tính từ tận cùng bằng Y, trước Y là một phụ âm thì ta đổi Y thành I rồi thêm LY Ex : happy happily ; easy easily

- Nếu tính từ tận cùng bằng BLE hay PLE thì ta thay E bằng Y

- Một số tính từ & trạng từ có cùng dạng: fast, hard, early, straight, long, late,

high, enough, pretty.

GRAMMAR:

Adverb clauses of reason: ( Mệnh đề trạng ngữ chỉ lí do ).

Because / since / as là các liên từ chỉ lí do, nó có nghĩa là: “ vì, do, bởi, bởi vì.

I’m tired I stayed up late watching TV.

Ex:

a) Ba is tired because he stayed up late watching TV.

or: Because / since / as + s + v, s + v

Join a pair of sentences together Use because, as or since:
