UNIT 6: OUR TET HOLIDAY

Lesson 1: Getting Started

I Objective s : By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:

1 Knowledge:

- Widen students’ vocabulary related to the topic “Our Tet holiday”

2 Skills:

- Listen and read the convesation related to the topic “Our Tet holiday”.

- Use lexical items related to Tet things and activities, to do some exercises.

- Talk about the activities they like best on Tet holiday.

3 Competence:

- Develop students’ self study and working in pair skills

II Teaching ads: Teacher’s and student’s book, board, chalk, CD player, picture, projector, etc.

3ms 1 Warm up

- Have students listen to a song about the new

year

- Ask student to answer some question:

1 Do you know the name of the song we just

heard?

2 When do you often listen to this song?

- Call on some students to give their answers

- Give feedback and lead into the new lesson

1 Happy New Year.

2 We often hear that song in the new year.
