Trang 2

Today the English occupied the most important position in the foreignrelations of the world English to help our research, communicate withforeigners in many areas So people learn to master the language skills oflistening, speaking, reading and writing Implementation of programs forEnglish Language Secondary School was compiled from the viewpoint ofcommunication, as the formation and development of communication skills:Listening - Speaking - Reading - Writing is the ultimate goal of the teachingprocess , teaching and learning of English in schools aim to help students withthe ability to use English as a communication tool used for periodic basic leveland relatively proficient in the forms: Listening – Speaking - Reading -Writing, towards the formation of English proficiency easily and effectively ineveryday conversations To achieve that goal, we could not teach vocabularyand grammar for students, there are many grammatical categories to day for

junior high school students, but my favorite one is the "Teaching the passive voice for students in grade 8 "it will make a prerequisite for the program in the

9th grade and the year after that That is why I write this topic

II CONTENTS:

1 Background theory:

Innovation teaching methods aim to respect the school, the student isconsidered to be active owners and encourage active learning activities, initiative and creativity in the teaching process In other words, innovativeteaching methods is the process of moving from teacher presentation methods, analyze language - Game hear and record the new method: the teacher asfacilitator, helping learning activities students, students who actively participate

in the learning activities New teaching methods will best promote the roleholder, proactive, positive train students in language skills for practical purposesand creativity This was confirmed in Resolution 2 TW VIII: "Innovationeducation and training methods, overcoming the way to convey a way, practicing a creative mindset of learners, gradually apply the method advancedmethods and modern teaching facilities in the teaching process, to ensureconditions and time study, self-study for students "

In the process of teaching and the application of teaching methods to guidestudents perceive knowledge as quickly as possible, using the best knowledgethere is a big problem for the general cultural subjects and English in particular

Trang 3

subjects For students with basic skills to competently four teachers we haveconducted training grammatical categories thoroughly.

2 Basis reality:

Most students understand and use good grammar structures to dohomework and develop skills: Listening - say - read - write but still some ofthem the ability to acquire all slow, weak, poor Some children areunderstanding but not good when applied, are also forgetting, rememberingwrong or just use the basic form of articles, while improving, expanding thechildren to feel and trouble

3 Process:

Part A: Theory

I Form : BE + PAST PARTICIPLE (PP = V-ed/V3)

II Form of each tense:

1 The simple present S + V(s/es) S+ am/is/are+PP

2 The pre Continuous S + am/ is/ are + V-ing S+am/is/are/+being+PP

3 The present perfect S + have/ has + PP S+ have/has+ been+PP

4 The simple past S + V2/ V-ed S+ was/were+PP

5 The past continuous S + was/ were + V- ing S+ was/were+being+PP

6 The past perfect S + had + PP S+ had+been+PP

7 The simple future S + will/ shall + V-bare S+ will/shall+be+PP

8 The near future S+am/ is/are going to+ V-bare S+am/is/are going to+be+PP

9 The Modal verbs S + can, could, shall, should,

may, might, must, have to, ought to +V-bare

S + can/could/may… + be + PP

III The rules of changing into passive voice:

1 Determination of S , V , O in the initiative

2 The object (O) of the active is the subject (S) of the passive

3 Putting the verb to be into the same tenseas the active verb and adding

the past participle of the active

4 The subject of the active verb become the ‘agent’of the passive verb The

agent is very often not mentioned When it is mentioned it is preceded by by and

placed at the end of the clause

IV Structure : Active : S V O

Passive : S ( BY + O)

( BE + PP)

Trang 4

V Examples:

1 My mother has made that cake

S V O

That cake has been made by my mother

2 Nam is asking me a lot of questions

S V O

I am being asked a lot of questions by Nam

VI Note:

1 S of the active is the pronouns ( he, she, you, they, we ) and some words:

someone, somebody, anyone, anybody, everyone, everybody, is omitted by O

in the passive , if not stated agent

Ex: Someone has sent me the flowers.

I have been sent the flowers

She must do all homework before going to bed

All homework must be done before going to bed

2 Adverb of place is placed before“by + O ”.

Ex: The police found him in the foresst.

He was found in the forest by the police

3 Adverb of time is placed after“by + O ”.

Ex: Mr Brown bought the house last week.

The house was bought by Mr Brown last week

4 Adverb of manner is placed between “BE + PP”.

Ex: The boss has treated them badly.

They have been badly treated by the boss

5 Note that in theory a sentence containing a direct and an indirectobject, such

as: He sent me a postcard Could have two passive forms:

I was sent a postcard

A postcard was sent to me

The first of these is much the more usual.
