As it is known to all, steel is widely used in shipbuilding since it acts as cheap structural materials But its corrosion has turned out a big problem Therefore, effective anticorrosion precautions have to be taken to reduce the loss resulting from the steel corrosion

Up till now, the protection coating on steel plates has remained one of the chief means of steel anticorrosion The service life of a protection coating is related to various factors, such as the rust removal on the surface, the thickness of coating, the composition

of paint, the painting process adopted, etc

To minimize the hull corrosion, marine steel plates must go through rust removing and primer painting In general, there are two ways to carry out the process One way is to remove the rust and oxide on steel plates by shot-blasting or acid-pickling, and then to paint them with a rust-proof primer The other way is to shot-blast a whole section, sometimes even a whole hull, and then to paint it with a rust-proof primer as well

In order to raise the production efficiency, an automatic production line for the steel plate pretreatment is to set up in a shipyard The whole process may cover calibration, rust removal, primer painting,drying and material marking of steel plates With regard to the quality check of the rust removal there are generally two standards, namely, cleanness and roughness The former refers to whether there is any remains of oxide on steel plate surface which will affect a protection coating to a great extent; while the latter has much to do with the protection performance of a coating because it directly affects the coating adhesiveness to steel plates and the distribution of coating thickness

To protect a vessel from corrosion, special attention must be paid to, apart from the emphasis on the quality of the surface treatment, the choice of paints, quality of paints, reasonable composition of paints, correct application of paints, best operation surroundings of painting, appropriate methods of painting and effective protection for coatings

As mentioned before, the whole painting process is also referred to as the painting outfitting which has been becoming more and more important nowadays For painting, in addition to its protection function will give you a fine appearance, and a fine appearance will always please the ship's owner

Gỉ mòn kim loại là một hiện tượng chung trong công nghiệp đóng tàu,nó gây ra những tổn thất nghiêm trọng trực tiếp hay gián tiếp hết năm này qua năm khác

Căn cứ vào môi trường chung quanh,gỉ mòn có thể phân loại thành gỉ hoá học,gỉ khí quyển,gỉ nước biển và gỉ đất…

Như tất cả chúng ta đều biết,thép được sử dụng rộng rãi trong ngành đóng tàu vì

nó được coi như là một vật liệu kết cấu rẻ.Nhưng việc thép gỉ mòn đã trở thành một vấn

đề lớn.Bởi vậy,người ta đã phải áp dụng những biện pháp chống gỉ hữu hiệu để giảm tổn thất do thép gỉ mòn

Cho tới nay,việc phủ một lớp bảo vệ lên thép tấm vẫn là một trong những biện pháp chủyếu để chống gỉ cho thép.Tuổi thọ của lớp bảo vệ phụ thuộc vào nhiều yếu tố như việc làm sạch bề mặt, độ dày của lớp bọc,thành phần của sơn,quy trình sơn…

Từ thực tế lâu dài và qua các thực nghiệm thử và sai,người ta bắt đầu hiểu rằng chất lượng của việc làm sạch bề mặt thép tấm là yếu tố quan trọng nhất trong việc thực hiện lớp bọc bảo vệ Để giảm thiểu gỉ mòn thân tàu,thép tấm phải được làm sạch bề mặt

và sơn lớp lót.Nói chung có hai cách thực hiện.Một là làm sạch các gỉ bẩn và ôxyt trên thép tấm bằng cách phun hạt hay ăn mòn acid sau đó sơn lớp lót chống gỉ.Cách khác là phun hạt cả phân đoạn ,nhiều khi cả thân tàu sau đó cũng sơn lớp lót chống gỉ

Để tăng hiệu suất,tại xưởng đóng tàu có lắp đặt dây chuyền tự động để xử lý sơ bộ thép tấm.Toàn bộ quá trình có thể là nắn sửa,làm sạch,sơn lót,phơi khô và hạ liệu thép tấm.Xét về kiểm tra chất lượng làm sạch ,nói chung ,có hai tiêu chuẩn là độ sạch và độ nháp Độ sạch có liên quan tới việc còn sót lại ôxyt hay không trên mặt thép nó sẽ ảnh hưởng tới lớp bảo vệ còn độ nháp có liên quan nhiều tới việc phủ lớp bảo vệ vì nó ảnh hưởng trực tiếp tới độ dính bám của lớp bảo vệ với tấm thép và sự phân bố chiều dày của lớp bảo vệ

Ngoài việc nhấn mạnh tới chất lượng xử lý bề mặt, để bảo vệ chống gỉ cho tàu ,ta còn phải đặc biệt chú ý tới việc lựa chọn sơn,chất lượng sơn,thành phần hợp lý của sơn ,dùng sơn đúng ,môi trường thao tác khi sơn ,phương pháp sơn thích hợp và bảo vệ có hiệu quả lớp bọc bào vệ.Như đã nói từ trước,toàn bộ quá trình sơn cũng được coi là công tác trang trí sơn,hiện nay ngày càng trở nên quan trọng.Với sơn,ngoài chức năng bảo vệ,nó còn cho ta một vẻ bên ngoài đẹp đẽ và một vẻ ngoài đẹp đẽ sẽ luôn luôn làm chủ tàu hài lòng
