* Brainstorm

- What do you think about the environment

now?

- Is it clean or dirty?

- What did people do to destroy the

environment?

- T: asks Ss to discuss and make a list of

things and people’s activities that destroy the

environment

- T: calls some groups to talk about their lists

- T: asks Ss to compare with these pictures in

text book then match these pictures in text

book with these English words in the part

Act 1 Vocabulary :

- Listen and repeat in chorus and individually

- Ss guess meaning of new words

- Ss listen carefully and repeat

Act 2 Open prediction

- Set the scene“ Mr Brown and some

volunteer conservationists are going to clean

the beach Can you guess what they do there.”

T: asks Ss to match the name in column A with

the activities in column B

Step 2 While-reading (17m)

Act 1 Listen and check

- T opens the tape twice

- T checks and helps Ss correct
