A.Objectives:

about question words, adjectives with 'be' and the time

II WARM UP (5 mins)

Word Square

- Put a poster of wordsquare on the board and

inform the topic “Things in the classroom”

- Divide the class into 2 teams

- Ask Ss to find out hidden words and circle the

words they can see

- Team A uses yellow chalk and team B uses red

chalk

- The team that finds out more correct words

wins the game

- Praise the winner

Key:

III NEW LESSON

Activity 1: Telling the time.

T: Ask Ss to repeat the way to tell the time

T writes on board

Question:

- What time is it?

- What is the time?

Answer:

What time is it ? It’s seven

It’s seven o’clock / It’s nine fifteen / It’s half past four / It’s twelve o’clock / It’s a quarter to two / It’s ten to nine

Cách 1 :

Cách 2 :

It’s a quarter past six

6.30 It’s half past six

6.45 It’s a quarter to seven
