I Aims and objectives :

+ Language Content :

- To help the s.s to review about greeting people/ identifying / introducing oneself

- To enable the s.s to use the simple present tense.

- To introduce the s.s some information about Hoa so that they can know more about the s.s’life in a new school far from home.

+Language Function :

- To help the s.s how to say to their friends when they first meet after the summer holiday

- To help the s.s understand the content of the lesson and tell them about their new friends

+Educational Aim :

- To make the s.s aware of the importance of the friendship

- To make the s.s aware of the importance of the friendship, especially when they live far from home

1. Language :

+ Vocabulary : Nice to see you / Nice to meet you.

+ Structures : - Simple present tense.

2 Skills : : Speaking – Listening - Reading - Writing

3 Educational factor :

- Should make friends with any students in school/ class

- Making friends and helping newcomers

II Teacher’s and students’ preparation :

1 Method : Communicative Approach

2 Techniques : Repetition, using pictures, real objects, pairwork.

4 Materials needed : Textbook, pictures, cassette player

5 Previous exercise : pictures and preparing new words

2 Pre-practice:

a) Has them listen to the dialogue 1a

twice

Has them listen and repeat the

Revises the use of these phrases:

use those

b) Hangs a picture on the board and

introduces something about Hoa and

her school

Call on some pairs to practice the

dialogue 1b in front of the class

Has them read the dialogue once

more to answer the questions ( on

page 11 )
