- Ask Ss to look at the picture on page 38 and

write the names of the things that do not

belong to the past

Step 1: Pre - reading: Introduce the topic of

the passage and some new words

1.Vocabulary

1) Reading and checking

- Turn on the tape 2 times and ask sts to look

at the dialogue between Nga and her Grandma

to check their predictions

- Ask them to correct the false statements

2) Comprehension Questions

- Get Ss to work in pairs, asking and

answering the questions

- Give feedback

- Ask Ss to practice asking and answering the

questions

3) Fact or opinion

- Have Ss read the statements part 3 and

decide which is a fact and which is a pinion
