2/ Warm up? (3p)

Jumble words:

- geehnaex = exchange

- zamie = maize

- yrrgcoe = grocery

- edef = feed

- llcocte = collect

- tell ss what “ exchange students” means

3/ Pre reading: (8p)

Set the scene:

Introduce the text which is about Van, an axchange students He is from HCM city He is now living with the Parker family on a farm outside Columbus, Ohio

- Have ss tell the class what they know about life in the country, on the farm: what do you people do? How do they relax?

4/ While reading (17p)

* Comprehension questions.

- Ask ss to read the text to answers the question ( use a poster)

- Give feed back

* Matching:

- Ask ss to work in pair, read the text macht the words in column A with the explanation in column B

- Give feed back
