 T asks Ss using in part (a) to answer the questions :

- Which clothes do you have ?

- When do you wear them ?

- What’s your favorite type of clothing ? Why ?

- Is it comfortable ? what color is it ?

 T says : On occasion such as : Tet holiday , birthday , wedding , … people usually have new clothes If you want to know what they wear , what do you ask ?

What do you wear on Tet / your birthday ?

Or What would you wear to a party … ?

2) Survey : FIND SO WHO

I, Warm up : * REVISION :

o T writes the word CLOTHING on the BB

o Divide the class into 2 teams Ss from 2 teams go to the BB and write the words relating to CLOTHING

o The team which writes more words in limited time is the winner

II Pre- listening :

1 Pre- teach vocabulary :

- Announcement (n) : ( translation )

- An entrance : (synonym of a door , a gate )

- Missing : ( synonym of lost )

- Fair (translation) * ( slap the board)

- A doll : (realize )

2 Questions – answers :

IV Presenting structure : * LANGUAGE FOCUS 1 :

 T introduces the dialogue between Nga and Mi and ask Ss to read the dialogue on page 19 ( Nga introduces Mi her old friend , Lan She has known her for six years but she hasn’t seen her since 2003 because she moved to HCM city with her family then )

 T elicits from Ss to review Present Perfect Tense with SINCE and FOR

- SINCE + a point of time

- FOR + a period of time

- Eg : + I’ve known her for six years

+ We have studied English since 2002

Use : The present perfect tense is used to talk about something which

started in the past and continues up to the present

 T asks Ss to make the similar dialogues with the information in the table on page 20 ( work in pair )

 Dialogue 2 :

S1 : Come and see my photo album.

S2 : Lovely! Who’s this boy?

S1 : Ah ! It’s Quang, my brother’s friend.

S2 : How long have you known him?

S1 : I’ve known him for seven months.

S2 : Have you seen him recently?

S1 : No , I ‘ve seen him since January

 Dialogue 3 : ( similar )

 T goes round the class, talking notes in order to help correct Ss’ pronunciation, intonation, past participle of irregular verbs

I Warm up: * SHARK’S ATTACK:

 Cut out a shark or a crocodile and a school boy or girl from the card

 Draw some steps, then stick the cut out boy or girl on the top of the steps, the shark is in the sea

 Draw 5 gaps for the word JEANS

 Ask Ss as a whole class for a letter in the alphabet They have to try to get the word If their guess is wrong, the girl or the boy has to step down if their get is right , they will get one mark The game continues until Ss find out the word JEANS and the shark can’t eat the boy or girl

II Pre- reading :

1) Pre- teach vocabulary : * What and where

- Material ( translation) : chÊt liÖu

- Cotton ( realia ) : b«ng , sîi b«ng

- (To) wear out ( explanation) : use something so much that it no longer works , or can no longer be used : mßn , lµm r¸ch

- Now we are learning to write a short passage to express an
