Science fiction films revolve around technology in many forms:
- Technology development to help people
- Biotechnology
- Time traveling (future, past)
- Tame and control natural disasters => There are many different genres, but all show the same dream of developing science along with technology and seeing the response of people to those great changes
- Independent space and time
- Future prediction of new science and technology development based on current and past events
Divided into two main timelines based on the active and passive action of humans:
- Proactive: Human exploration> Event occurs due to the impact of people > Finding solutions> Lessons
- Passive: Normal life> Events occur (natural calamities, floods, not by human cause) > Finding solutions > Lesson
- Passive: Usually divided into two sides: Protagonists and Antagonists after the incident occurred, the two sides are equipped with advanced technology but the opposite direction of thinking> War between two sides (usually Justice will prevail)
- Active: Often will not divide different characters that the protagonist will be the leader to overcome and deal with the incident happened back to original
