Trang 10

Over the years, he gradually shifted from seemingly

candid shots of individuals nudes to sexually-charged

and explicit photographs, in which young naked bodies

complex compositions His models posed naked, in

sculptures, often contorted in unnatural shapes Their body parts were interlaced with flowers, hairs, and animals amongst other atypical props Ren combined indoors, outdoors, natural and urban environments to create a playful raw vision of young people, regardless their gender

Trang 11

When it comes to Ren Hang’s photography, there is no filter,

no photoshop, no luxury equipments “My camera is a very cheap film camera It’s very easy, you don’t need to do anything You just hit the flash”, said Ren

He was also known for his distinctive speed, decisiveness, and spontaneity Right hand there, left foot there, body like this, he directed exactly on the composition, placement of bodies, how he’d wanted the image to turn out

Sex organs, breasts and butt holes were not covered up, but featured, or accentuated with props and close-ups In quick succession, naked bodies and

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Trang 14

PHOTOGRAPHIC ANALYSIS

For over half a century, Japanese photographer Nobuyoshi Araki has devoted himself to plumbing the depths of that which is most intimate – the invisible, intangible spirit that animates our very flesh In his hands, the erotic transcends the mere functionality of pornography and reveals the raw intensity of the emotional, physical, and

psychological self that gives sex its power

Trang 15

Araki freely uses different

cameras in his

compound-eye photographic techniques

Along with a medium-format

Pentax, his primary camera,

Araki keeps one autofocus

and another manual 35mm, a

mirrorless DSLR and a Polaroid

SLR on standby

Although they are only part

of his collection, one does not

often meet photographers

like him, who use these many

cameras to shoot one model

Regardless of subject, Araki

photographic style is to create

multiple works simultaneously

from a single model

PHOTOGRAPHIC ANALYSIS

Kordan’s work is what we call “a travel motive” or a constant invitation

to anyone - photographer or not - to explore the world and to let themselves be moved by the magnificence that our planet has to offer

He is not a traditional landscape photographer that sets himself apart from human nature but, instead, he loves to show how the human presence resides inside the incredible, endlessness of nature itself

Trang 19

As an ambassador of Nikon,

he uses 3 Nikon DSLRs and Nikkor lenses To capture the beauty of the nature, he usually takes panorama pictures using long exposure method Also

he uses transitioning neutral density filters to achieve a gorgeous effect similar to a very natural HDR by slightly darkening the sky with a physical filter that become lighter towards the bottom
