REAR WINDOW DEFOGGER SYSTEM
JDESCRIPTION
D The rear window defogger system uses the heater wire on the rear window glass to defog the rear window glass
D This system is standard equipment on all models
D The rear window defogger system operates at the same time as the heater function of the outside rear view mirror
D This system is activated when the power source*1 is turned on and the rear window defogger switch is pushed This switch is provided with a timer function to turn off the defogger and mirror heater*2 after approx 15 minutes On all models other than those for China, the operation period of the timer may extend
to approximately 45 minutes depending on the outside air temperature and vehicle speed
*1: The power source condition can be changed by operating the engine switch on models with the smart entry and start system, and the ignition switch on models without the smart entry and start system
*2: Only for models with mirror heater
