SELF DIAGNOSIS & TROUBLE SHOOTING

4-1-1 TEST (FORCED OPERATION / FORCED DEFROST)

When pressing the Fridge button and the Super freeze button on PANEL DISPLAY

simultaneously for more than 8sec, PANEL DISPLAY will be turned off and it is in TEST MODE At

this point, the Freezer and the Fridge buttons, the Super freeze button, and the Vacation button can bepressed and it becomes the TEST button

When pressing TEST buttonnnn, Test function shall be in order Forced Operation Forced F Defrost Cancellation (normal operation) Forced Operation.

To cancel TEST function, turn off the power and turn it on again

Press for 8 sec

4) In forced operation, Freezer will be selected to “MAX -25 and Fridge will be set to “1 automatically. However, if Forced Defrost or Test Cancellation is selected after a minute while in forced operation, themax set temp will not change (Maintaining “MAX -25 and “1 ) If forced defrost or test cancellationare selected within a minute while in forced run operation, the set temp will go back to the previoussetting

5) On the completion of Forced Run (24 hr.), F Defrost shall be activated regardless of the previous state.6) After the above items are satisfied, it operates under normal defrosting conditions by sensing ambienttemp and compressor run time

7) During forced operation, Super Freeze will not function and the selected function, LED will be off after 1 0 sec

2 Forced Defrost

1) When pressing TEST button twice while in TEST MODE, Freezer defrost will operate and beeping soundwill be heard

2) Beeping sound will be heard until the completion of the defrost cycle and then pause

3) With the selection of forced F defrost, it will operate regardless of HEATER ON temp and complete defrostwhile comparing the HEATER OFF temp

3 TEST Cancellation MODE

1) When in TEST MODE and pressing the TEST button once more during F Defrost, F Defrost will becancelled and restored to normal operation Also, if POWER is turned off and on, all the TEST functionswill be canceled

Trang 11

SELF DIAGNOSIS & TROUBLE SHOOTING

4-1-2 SELF-DIAGNOSIS

1 Self-diagnosis with initial POWER ON

1) With POWER ON, the MICOM will internally diagnose the status of the temp SENSOR in a minute.2) If faulty sensor is found after self-diagnosis, corresponding DISPLAY ICON LED will be on/off at aninterval of 0.5 sec There will be no sound when ICON LED will be ON (Refer to the following thedetails of self-diagnosis LED position)

3) IIf a faulty sensor is found and DISPLAY LED is off, it only recognizes self-diagnosis button (PressVacation button + Super freeze button for 8 sec.) Normal temp will be on hold

4) Upon self-diagnosis ERROR, if a faulty sensor is replaced or if you press Vacation button + SuperFreeze button for 8 sec., it will be canceled automatically

2 Self-diagnosis during normal operation

1) When pressing “Vacation button + Super freeze button” simultaneously for 6 sec in normal

operation of the fridge, all LED of DISPLAY will be ON/OFF for 2 sec at intervals of 0.5 sec andwhen pressing “Vacation button + Super Freeze button” simultaneously for 8 sec including

TOGGLE for 2 sec., self-diagnosis will be selected

2) At this point, beeping sound shall be heard and it operates self-diagnosis

3) When self-diagnosis operates, entire LED will be OFF and only relevant LED with malfunction will

be ON / OFF repeatedly signifying defects (Refer to the below self-diagnosis CHECK LIST)4) When an ERROR occurs, it will be indicated for 30 sec and restored to the normal status

regardless of maintenance

5) During self-diagnosis, pressing any buttons will not be recognized

Press for 8 sec

Details of self-diagnosis lighting by position

1) When pressing “Vacation button + Super Freeze button” simultaneously for 6 sec in normaloperation, the indicators of temp set in Freezer/Fridge will all ON/OFF for 2 sec at the interval of0.5 sec At this point, when pressing the Temp button in Fridge while canceling “Vacation button +Super Freeze button”, it operates in load status display

2) Load status display will show the load in operation immediately

However, it does not show the real operating loads It just shows the loads that MICOM orders tooperate

3) Only the correspondent ICON of the load in operation will blink ON/OFF repeatedly

4) Load status display will continue for 30 sec and it will resume to the normal state

SELF DIAGNOSIS & TROUBLE SHOOTING

4-1-4 OPTION SETTING

Press for 12 sec

1 For example, if you want to set option and SHIFT the standard temp of Freezer to -3 , follow the directionsbelow

This function is to change the standard temp and if the standard temp at present is MID -1 8 in theFreezer, it can be lowered by -3 via using options and the standard temp will be controlled at -2 1 i.e

in case of changing temp option, although you set it at -1 8 on the display panel, the fridge will operate at-2 1 Therefore, when you set the standard temp at -3 , temp will lowered by an additional -3 compared

to what is set on the display panel

1) Press Freezer temp setting button and Super Freeze button simultaneously for 1 2 sec as shown in thepicture

- All DISPLAY will go OFF except for Freezer/Fridge temp indicating DISPLAY

2) After changing into Option Mode, DISPLAY will show "0" for Fridge and "0" for Freezer.

(When shipping products, there shall be "0" for Fridge and "0" for Freezer but for special customer °Øspurpose, the standard setting value can be changed.)

- If "0" for Fridge is indicated, temp option item in Freezer can be set and temp setting value of Freezer atpresent will be shown in temp DISPLAY for Freezer

3) After setting "0" in Fridge and selecting "6" as in the option table of Freezer, the standard temp of Freezer

will be lowered by 3 degree Celsius (Refer to the picture of temp change in Freezer ) : : Ifyou wait for 20 sec after the completion of adjustment, MICOM will store the set value in EEPROM andrestore normal DISPLAY while canceling the option setting mode

4) Option is already set in EEPROM while shipping, do not change it randomly except for special purpose and do not turn off power before restoring to the normal display because the option is completed as long as it can restore to normal display after 20 sec.

note) Basically, when shipping of the products, data is all cleared in the EEPROM

i.e the Set Values are all 0 However, for the purpose of quality while producing, the set values

is altered and manufactured Therefore, make sure to check quality information
