1 Simple present: HIỆN TẠI ĐƠN (Diễn tả một sự thật, một thói quen, công việc thường ngày)
a Động từ To Be: am/is/are
Ex: I am a student She is happy They are in the library
b Động từ thường:
Ex: We sometimes play soccer (Chúng tôi thỉnh thoảng chơi đá banh)
Peter often plays soccer (Peter thường xuyên chơi đá banh.)
He doesn’t play soccer (Anh ấy không chơi đá banh.)
Dấu hiệu: always (luôn luôn), usually, often (thường xuyên), sometimes (thỉnh thoảng), never (không bao giờ), everyday/ every week (mỗi ngày/mỗi tuần)
2 Present progressive: HIỆN TẠI TIẾP DIỄN (Diễn tả một hành động đang diễn ra tại thời điểm nói)
Ex: I am learning English now (Bây giờ tôi đang học tiếng Anh.)
Lan is not reading books at present (Lúc này Lan không đang đọc sách.)
Lan and Hoa are watching TV at the moment (Lúc này Lan và Hoa đang xem tivi.)
Dấu hiệu: Now (bây giờ), right now (ngay bây giờ), at present, at the moment (lúc này), Listen! Look!
3 Simple future: TƯƠNG LAI ĐƠN (Diễn tả một hành động sẽ xảy ra trong tương lai)
Ex: I will go to Ha Noi tomorrow (Tôi sẽ đi Hà Nội vào ngày mai.)
She won’t go to school next Monday (Tôi sẽ không đi học thứ hai tới.)
Dấu hiệu: tomorrow (ngày mai), tonight (tối nay), this afternoon (chiều nay), Next week / next month / next year (Tuần tới/ tháng tới / năm tới), soon: sớm
