Volunteers Needed for The Parish "Ephata Confirmation Retreat"

The Ephata retreat for our Confirmation students are in need of adult

volunteers We need help with cooking, providing security, giving testimony, and leading small groups Please consider giving your time and your talent to help our youth! Contact Sr Vân for more information

What: Help prepare our Confirmation students to receive the Sacrament of

Confession

Number of Confirmation retreatants: 99

Adult Volunteers

1 Estimated number of adults needed to help with the retreat: 50-55

2 6 Teams:

Small Group Facilitators: 24 needed (12 adult males, 12 adult females) Environment Team: 4-6 needed (2 adults, 2-4 teen volunteers)

Cooking Crew: 10 needed (no need to be chefs!) Night-time security: 2-4 needed (1-2 adult males, 1-2 adult females)

Give testimony: 4-6 adults (both male and female)

Logistics Crew: 4-6 persons (both male and female)

3 Description of each team:

Small group facilitators: You are placed in a small group of 8-9 students

Your role is to listen, support, and encourage the students to be open to the Holy Spirit

Environment team: Help decorate the different prayer circles and spaces Cooking crew: Help prepare healthy meals for the youth and all volunteers.

Night-time security: Stay awake at night to make sure youth is in their beds

and keeping an eye out for any suspicious happenings

Give testimony: Sharing a personal experience of how you came to know

your parent's love for you

Time Commitment:

We ask you to be present at these meetings and training sessions

1 Safety Environment Training (Only if you are not currently up-to-date on your training.)

2 Teleconference Meeting (with Anh Nguyễn Nhật): Tuesday, February 05 (7pm - 8:30pm)

3 Volunteer Meeting #1 Sunday, February 17 (1:30pm - 3:00pm) 4

Volunteer Meeting #2 Sunday, March 17 (1:30pm - 3:00pm)

5 Ephata Retreat: Friday, March 22 (approx 4:30pm) - Sunday, March 24 (approx 4:30pm)

All volunteers will stay overnight at the retreat center

Please reply to Sr Janine Vân before Friday, February 01, 2013 Secondly, if you cannot make it to one of these trainings and/or sessions, we can work around your schedule

You do not have to an expert in any of these areas Please volunteer You will be trained and the Holy Spirit will do the rest!!!
