 Things that are happening at the moment of speaking

 E.g.:

1- The students of class 6a5 are studying

English at the moment.

2- Look! It is raining outside

Things that are in the process of changing or developing this week, this month or this year

E.g.:

1- Susan is writing another book this year.

2- He is taking more exercise these days.

Affirmative: Subject + Be + Verb-ING +…

Literature .

Negative:

Subject + Be + NOT + Verb-ING +…

They are playing in the schoolyard.

They are not studying.

SPELLING OF -ING

-Verbs with 2 consonants add –ING
