It is true that manufacturers are now able to move production oversea and

cut down on overheads, thus bringing prices down and making their

products move affordble to consumers While some may say there exitst some benefit to this trend, I would argue that the advantages are

outweighed by the disadvantages

On the one hand, the immediate benefits for consumers that lower prices offer are very definite Average households in developing nations can now afford products, items that were previously out of their reach For

example, most families nowaday own flat screen TV and private

automobiles, thanks to the fact that they are manufactured in third world countries where labor and operation cost are lower compared to third world countries Therefore, without doublt/undoubltely/ it is irrefutable

that cheaper products are one of the main contributing factors to an

improvement in living standard

On the other hand, I would contend that the aforementioned possitive pricing are accompanied by a compromise product quality Converse perfectly examplifies this principle Customers have been complaining of poor construction and subar materials, which made the shoes wear out

much faster than before The implication of this is that they have to be replaced more often and effectively making consumers have to pay more

In addition to deteriorating quality, cheaper products also indirectly

triggers unemployment Most companies today have moved

manufacturing to China to exploit the negligible pay making million of

workers in American and Canada redundant

In conclusion, while it is difficult to deny the benefits of cheaper prices, I believed in the long run, we would incur more economic loses than gain

Looking at the process, it is immediately obivious that there are 3 main phases

in a salmon’s life It begins as salmon eggs and ends/grows to be an adult

At the beginning of its life, after getting out the egg shell, the infant of salmon is called a fry, which is 3 to 8 centimetters long It lives in the lower part of the river where water current is fast flowing for 4 years After this period, the fry increases exponentially in length to between 12 and 15 cm At this stages of their life, young salmon migrate to the open sea where they live for

approximately 5 years

After living the open sea, the smolt enters the fianl phases of a salmon’s life, in which it is called adult salmons It is now considerably bigger in size, about 70

to 76 centimeters Adult salmons swim back to the upper river, where they lay eggs among the reeds and small stones on the bottom of the river

that they would find a part time job, which was almost the same as the number of those, who were unemployed Only 3000 graduate students parttook voluntary work

Similar trend/development/pattern could be witnessed in the case of

post graduate students Most people who finished post-graduate chose to continue to study higher degree

About the same number of people were able to secure a part-time job

1625 post-graduate students were recorded to be unemployed and 345 people became volunteers
