into Parts list, the Taper Solid Mesh button
becomes available
• Allows the user to mesh the taper blank with solid mesh

• Selecting Curved Surfaces allows the user to select the curved surface of the blank
• Selecting Flat Surfaces allows the user to select a flat surface, which is the plane for reference
• Parameter allows the user to define the solid mesh parameters
• Element Size can be entered The default mesh is set at 32
• Layer: The number of layers can be entered for
solid mesh The default mesh is set at 3

Description:
• After selecting the surfaces, the Apply button is
activated
• Click on Apply and the program will generate the
required solid mesh If the generated mesh is not
satisfactory, the user can click on the Undo button
to regenerate it

surface and then select the bottom flat surface as the plane

is illustrated in Figure 3 A new part named “SOLID000” is created for the generated solid mesh
