STRESS (trong âm)

Trọng âm là một phần âm trong một từ có hai âm tiết hoặc nhiều hơn 2 âm tiết đợc phát âm lớn hơn các âm khác.(kí hiệu “ [Ï ”)

Một số quy tắc cơ bản để nhận biết trọng âm(stress) trong một từ:

1/ Nouns: adjectives: adverbs trong 4m thờng rơi vào âm tiết thứ nhất(chú ý hai nguyên âm

2/ Verb: trọng âm thơng rơi vào âm tiết thứ 2(chú ý hai nguyên âm /1/ và /1l/)

3/ Trọng âm thờng không rơi vào hai nguyên âm // và đl đợc áp dung cho Nouns:

adjectives; adverbs, Verbs

5) Stress on the following ending syllábles:( (trọng âm rơi vào các âm cudi) ADE, OO,

6/ Trọng âm thờng không rơi vào các tiền tố(prefix) và tiền tố không làm thay đổi trọng âm của từ sốc(root word)

7/ Trờng hợp hai từ ghép lai với nhau thành một từ mang nghĩa trong âm thờng roi vao t đứng trớc
