I AIMS AND OBJECTIVES :

Language content:

- To help Ss read for specific information about The Great Pyramid of Giza.

Language function:

- To get Ss to be able to talk some back ground information of The Great Pyramid of Giza.

Educational aim:

- To educate Ss the love of the wonders of the world

1 Language :

Vocabulary: Treasures , burial chamber, spiral , ramp

Structures : The Great Pyramid is believed to have been built …

2 Skills : Integrated skills ( especially reading skill )

3 Educational factor :

- To make Ss be aware of protecting famous man-made furniture in their house

- Write the words whose letters are in a random order on the board

- Divide the class into two teams Ss from two team go to the board and write the correct words

- The team which writes correct words first will be the winner

Task1 Correct Ss’ answers on the

- Have Ss read the passage

individually and check the

information given for the questions

- Give the suggested answers:

Task 2 Fill each blank with a

suitable word from the box.

- Have Ss work in pairs to fill in each

blank with a suitable word from the

box

- Go around the class and provide

help if necessary

- Call on some Ss to read aloud their

answers (ask them to explain if

necessary)

- Take notes and write down
