When we talk about events in the future that are in our control, we use will at the time we decide

We use be going to after we have decided what to do, we express our intention
My son is having problems at the school I am going to talk to his teachers
When a sentence has two parts that refers to
the future, we use the present simple After if,
when, before, After, as soon as, until and Will
in the other part of the sentence
If it rains, you’ll get wet
As soon as he comes, we’ll leave
Present Continuous is used to talk about future arrangements that we have already made
