Oral Activity (tag questions)

Group size: 3/4 students; could also be used for private tuition lesson with one student or as a pair activity

Aim: practicing and/or revising tag questions

How to: Put the pile of cards in the middle of the desk (cards facing down!) One student starts: they pick a card and

form a (correct) sentence to the tag question they have picked

E.g  Card: does she? Possible answer: Jane doesn’t like chocolate,…

 Card: do we? We don’t have smelly feet, …

Then it’s the next student’s turn etc until all the cards have been used

< Encourage them to come up with funny sentences and to correct their classmates if there’s a mistake in their sentences
