The entire GIF ventilated ceiling system is made

in area-active cassette construction Each active cassette acts in the area-wide exhaust air zone as

an aerosol separator according to VDI 2052 and DIN 18869 The particles separated in the active cassettes are collected in the small register

All active cassettes are easy to remove from the ceiling grid and can be cleaned in the dishwasher

The active cassettes are also used for large surface fresh air supply and are interchangeable in any configuration

Using push-and-pull type cassettes, the GIF ventilated ceiling is 98% demountable from virtually any point and can be cleaned in the dishwasher Climbing on kitchen equipment is not necessary and hygienic cleaning is guaranteed

The allround wall-to-wall solution

The GIF ventilated ceiling is an area-active full wall-to-wall solution including large exhaust and supply air sections, lighting and infill panels with an installation depth of only 200 mm

Using the ceiling cavity as a pressure chamber allows the greatest possible surface area to be active air supply zones

The broad-ranging capture of frying, cooking and other vapours and the generous fresh air supply generate a ‘feel-good‘ climate without condensate and draughts The unique modular system offers ultimate transparency and hygiene through its fully demountable structure

Matching the individual conditions existing in the

kitchen, the supply air flat cassette ceiling can be

used instead of the active cassette ceiling for fresh

air, supply at lower air change rate This system

also guarantees the large surface draught-free

fresh air supply and makes a uniform composite

An advanced development of the supply air flat ceiling, this ceiling system combines the fresh air supply function with sound absorption The outstanding feature is the combination of these two functions in one and the same surface and the resulting optimised noise and sound abatement *

Made in powder-coated aluminium (RAL colour are specified) or in AISI 304 stainless steel, this system

is particularly suitable for adjacent or ancillary areas not exposed to thermal loads and cooking vapours

Naturally, this flat ceiling system also includes the full range of components for exhaust air extraction, fresh air supply and lighting

The luminaires mounted flush in the GIF ventilated ceiling guarantee the best possible illumination

of work places in line with current directives and standards Equipped with IP 54 dampproof fittings, they are designed specially for large-scale catering establishments The special feature is the supply air connection of the luminaires in the exhaust air zone which generates an air curtain

on the underside of the polycarbonate diffuser, protecting the luminaires from dirt We also offer special lighting and light fittings, e.g over the servery counters (spots, etc.)

Cross currents occurring mainly in ‘open plan‘

kitchen areas substantially reduce the efficiency

of standard exhaust air hoods, with the rising cooking vapour ‘driven away‘ even before the vapours reach the hood The Jet-stream extractor has been developed specifically for this area and has for many years guaranteed the full capture

of kitchen vapours above woks and barbecues

Air polution in the room is kept to a minimum allowing guests and stuff to breathe freely and enjoy a healthy environment

For over a decade Hidria GIF has developed, plan-ned, designed and installed UV-C(lean) systems for aerosol follow-up treatment Fat residues found in the exhaust air flow after aerosol separation can so

be minimised

• Better hygiene The systems are made in compliance with DIN 18869-7 and can be used both in ventilated ceilings and in exhaust air hoods Retrofitting in existing systems is possible The unique service life of the high-intensity UV lamps of 16,000 hours makes this system an economically interesting proposition
