5’ A Review the last period :

- Ask Sts to retell the topic of the previous lesson-

reading: Talking about popular T.V programme.

- Call some Sts to answer the question: Which mass

media do you know?

- Lead Sts to new lesson: After previous lesson, you

can name some mass media, today we will learn about

the types of the mass media And it is the topic of our

lesson today

- Call some Sts to translate the topic into Vietnamese

- Retell the topic

- Ss call out some media

- Answer

Pre-speaking

- Read aloud the instruction of task 1; call Sts to

explain it into Vietnamese

- Ask Sts to work in pairs in 2’, then call some Sts to

speak out their answers

- If it is incorrect, ask the whole class to correct it

* The mass media includes: T.V, book, magazine,

newspaper, internet, radio…

- Vocabulary: Ask Sts to translate some new words

into Vietnamese, explain if needed

While-speaking:

- Call Sts to read aloud the instruction of the task, and

then explain it into Vietnamese

- Ask the whole class to work in pairs in 3’

- Go around the class and help Sts if necessary

- Call Sts to point out some features of the Mass media

- Explain it into Vietnamese if needed

- Ask Sts to point out which features is which type of

the mass media

-> There are 3 types of the mass media

- Ask Sts to discuss in group of 4 or 5 in 2’ and call

some Sts to write sentences about the features of mass

media on the board

- Correct wrong sentence or ask the whole class to

correct it if needed

Post-speaking:

- Read aloud the instruction, and then ask Sts to explain

it into Vietnamese

- Ask Sts to discuss in group of 4 or 5 to say about the

different types of mass media, using the question on the

text book
