2 Have a discussion about st (c ó cuộc thảo luận về…) , but discuss st (thảo luận)

We had a discussion about what we should do.

3 Do st about st = do st to improve a bad situation

If you’re worried about the problem, you should do something about it

1 Care about sb/st = think that sb/st is important (quan t âm)

He is very selfish He doesn’t care about other people.

We say: “care what/where/how”… etc

You can do what you like I don’t care what you do.

2 Care for sb/st

= like st (in questions and negatives): Would you care for a cup of coffee? (=would you like….)

I don’t care for very hot weather (= I don’tl like )

= look after sb : Alan is 85 and lives alone He needs somebody to care for him.

1 Ask sb for … (hỏi g ì)

2 Apply (to a person, a company) (n ộp đơn cho ai); apply for a job (xin việc)

I think you’d be good at this job Why don’t you apply for it?
