By the end of this lesson, Ss will be able to understand the dialogue about the ways to save energy: water

V/- Procedure:
1 Warm up (5 mins)
- T gives a situation: Now, it’s o’clock, I think
we should turn off the lights.
- Ss answer: OK/ All right/ That’s good idea.
- T introduces the new lesson:
+ How can the lights be bright?
+ How can the electric fan run?
depend on electricity
- T asks Ss list some energy
- T presents the new lesson
2 Presentation (10 mins)
- T asks Ss to look at the pictures and talk with the
partner to make a list of things the family could do
to save energy (Pair work)
- Then T introduces the next part: they’re some
suggestions about saving energy, now listen to the

3 Practice (21 mins)
- T introduces: Mrs Ha is talking to Mrs Mi about
the water her family uses this month.
- T plays the disk twice
- Then T asks Ss to practice the dialogue with the
partner (Pair work) (about 2 minutes)
- After that, T calls some pairs to practice the
dialogue aloud
? Why does Mrs Mi suggest taking showers
instead of baths? (- Because baths use twice as
much water as showers.)
? Who will Mrs Ha get to check the pipes?
(-Mrs Ha will get a plumber to check the pipes.)
- Later T asks Ss to read the dialogue again and
decide these statements are True or False Then
correct the False statements (about 5 minutes).
