Form:
S + V + (O) + (NOT) + To Infinitive
V :
- tell (told) : bảo - ask : yêu cầu - want : muốn - promise : hứa - advise : khuyên
- offer : đề nghị - warn : cảnh báo - remind : nhắc nhở - encourage : khuyến khích
- invite : mời - agree : đồng ý - persuade : thuyết phục
EX: “ Don’t stay up late,” the doctor said to him
The doctor advised him not to stay up late
EX: “ I’ll give you a picture” the teacher said
The teacher promised to give us a picture
Note:
Khi chuyển đổi lời dẫn trực tiếp sang lời dẫn gián tiếp thì phải thay đổi ngôi (đại từ làm tân ngữ), trạng ngữ chỉ thời gian và nơi chốn cho phù hợp.
