Adjective attitude

Ex: The film is very interesting

The old man feels tired after a long walk.

Form : Present participle: V-ing

Past participle : V-ed

Usage: - Adjectives ending with –ING used with nouns refering to things

implying the active meaning.

- Adjectives ending with –ED used with nouns refering to people implying the passive meaning.

Note :

1 The news made me dissappointed.

2 He finds his job interesting

Ex:

 S ( things ) + make + O + A (V-ed)

 S ( people ) + find + O + A (V-ing)

*Usage:- “a” and “an” are used before countable singular nouns, nouns

mentioned for the first time…

*Usage: “ THE” is used before :

- the definite nouns ( mentioned before).

- the names of restaurants, hotels, cinemas, oceans, rivers……
