What is a songwriting project?

You can create a songwriting project to set up

tracks for several common instruments

1 Click File and then New.

2 In the GarageBand window, click the Songwriting

project template

How do I save or share just a segment of a song?

You can use the cycle region to define a part of the song that you want to save or share.

1 Click to display the cycle region

2 Click and drag to define the segment you

want to save or share

You can click and drag in the middle to

move the region

You can click and drag at an edge to change

the size of the region

iPhone in iTunes?

Follow these steps:

1 Connect your iPhone to your computer

and open iTunes

2 In iTunes, click your iPhone in the Devices

section

3 Click Ringtones.

4 Click Sync ringtones ( changes

iTunes opens and plays the new

ringtone

5 Click Ringtones.

● iTunes displays your ringtone
