-T shows a picture of Statue of Liberty and asks Ss to answer some
questions relating to this statue:

+ Where is it? (in which country or city)
-T gives Ss more information about Statue of Liberty: It is in New York
Harbour This statue is the symbol of freedom It was made by the
French in 1884
- T introduces the topic of the lesson: Today, we are going to read about
New York (it is one of biggest cities in the world)
