An adult chicken has been through
five stages
In the first stage, female chicken,
called a hen lays eggs in a nest The hen sits on her eggs to keep them
warm
Next, a hatched bird, called an
embryo gets all things it needs from inside the egg after 21 days
An embryo will grow into a chick The chicks are wet when they first hatch They will follow their mother and learn how to find the food, stay safe and
survive by themselves
Next few months, the chicks grow
larger feathers These continue to

Lastly, it takes about 4 months for a chick to grow into an adult The adult hen will lays eggs and chicken’s life cycle repeats
