NOTE Rationale for this corrigendum:

The current language ("If the spindle end, the nut and the outer flange are not circular, they shall also be guarded.") may be interpreted to mean only when all three elements (spindle end, nut, outer flange) are not circular, then they shall be guarded

However, the intention is to require guarding if any of the three elements is not circular The revised text removes this ambiguity

19 Mechanical hazards

Replace the 3rd paragraph in 19.101.2.1 with the following:

If the spindle end, the nut or the outer flange are not circular, they shall also be guarded
