The connectors are equipped with solder or force-fit contacts The retention of the connector is achieved through force-fit terminals The connector outputs must be compatible with the holes on the printed circuit boards, arranged on a 2.5 mm grid as per standard specifications.
Les embases sont munies soit:
– de contacts à insérer à force et connexions enroulées;
The connector is secured onto the force-inserted contacts, eliminating the need for mounting holes on the bottom of the basket The distance between the output axes is 2.5 mm or a multiple thereof, and the base outputs are compatible with basket bottoms that have a 2.5 mm pitch.

Free board connectors are available with either solder or press-in contacts, and they are mounted using press-in pivots According to IEC 60326-3, the terminations of these connectors are designed to fit into holes on the printed board, which are arranged on a 2.5 mm grid.
The fixed board connectors are provided either with:
– press-in and wrap contacts;
– press-in and wrap and mating area contacts.
The connector is securely attached to the press-in contacts, eliminating the need for fixing holes on the backplane The termination center lines are spaced at 2.5 mm or its multiples, making the fixed board connectors compatible with backplanes that have a grid dimension of 2.5 mm.

Renseignements concernant l’accouplement
Common prescriptions for FMLB contacts are provided in this specification Under the most unfavorable coupling conditions and with the least favorable dimensions for a paired coupling, the pre-coupling of the contact is essential.
The nominal value of the pre-coupling is 1.75 mm The quantity and arrangement of the pre-coupling contacts must be agreed upon separately between the user and the manufacturer.

3.3.1.3 Direction perpendiculaire à celle de l’enfichage (accouplement)
The design of the socket and base must accommodate an alignment tolerance of at least 1 mm in both the transverse and longitudinal directions of the connectors To achieve the required alignment between the two components, one part of the connector pair is mounted in a floating manner.

3.3.1.3 Perpendicular to engagement (mating) direction
The free and fixed board connector is designed to accommodate a misalignment of at least 1 mm in both the transversal and longitudinal directions To ensure proper alignment between the two connector parts, one component of the connector pair is float mounted.
For fixed mounted connector pairs, the mounting tolerances shall be kept accordingly in a sufficient small range.

Recommended method of mounting
Free board connectors are available with either solder or press-in contacts, and they are mounted using press-in pivots According to IEC 60326-3, the terminations of these connectors are designed to fit into holes on the printed board, which are arranged on a 2.5 mm grid.
The fixed board connectors are provided either with:
– press-in and wrap contacts;
