Thanks for purchasing the WSO and I am sure that it’s not gonna disappoint you I never knew that I would come up with something related to Adsense First of all, it’s not my primary source of income I do have some very successful online services and I’m also working on some affiliate marketing strategies A few of you might be familiar with my name associated to the Facebook maxed or SEO Business Box This is my second WSO – actually this is a surprise WSO – I was planning to create a WSO about one of our wordpress blogs before this

Anyways, let’s see what’s inside: Google adsense is one of the most simple online revenue sources The reason is it’s easier than any other source of income There are certain things we should know while working on websites just for adsense Things like traffic building strategies, better ad placements techniques, finding and targeting keywords with higher CPC etc

I hope you are familiar with all this Though this WSO isn’t something about any of these basic steps, I‘d like to say a few words on this before we begin

Traffic is the basis of adsense revenue:

As you know, without traffic there are no clicks and no money To bring traffic

we do SEO, Social media marketing etc We also create a lot of backlinks to improve the SERP (search engine results page) position of our keywords We can post on forums & blogs; do video marketing and similar things to bring traffic The more traffic we get the better would be the earnings

With my experience, the best platform for adsense websites is to use wordpress Keeping articles in different categories, adding some seo plugins (I just use LightSEO and simple tags), regular posting targeting keywords with descent conversion etc would make things easy

Targeting High CPC Keywords:

What is the benefit if you’re targeting those keywords with very low CPC? There is no revenue benefit at all It’s important to find high paying keywords (you can simply use the google Adwords keyword tool to find excellent CPC keywords) I prefer to target keywords with CPC 50 dollar to 2-3 dollars as there are a lot of such keywords in every niche If you’re going after the high CPC keywords the number of keywords would be less & competition’d be high

So you should be practical and wise while selecting the keywords Placing the keyword in your title, including a few times in content (3% keyword density),

a heading tag, some font customization (bold, italic, underline), a link and

an image with the keyword (alt) would do the basic on-site SEO stuff Once it’s published do some quick promotion on social networks and bookmarking websites to improve the traffic You know everything about SEO, so it’s not necessary to explain things

Better Ad Placements

This is very much important You should be very intelligent while placing the adsense ad units We must use different types of ads without hurting the design of the web page Don’t make it look UGLY or don’t make the visitors feel like the site is just for adsense and the pages have NOTHING OTHER THAN ADS This isn’t the technique to improve CTR If you blend the ads with the style and the content of the page – that’d work more Only this approach can bring the best CTR (click through rate) Be very careful on this I’m very successful at ad placements I’ve tried several combinations with sites where

we get a minimum of 30-40 clicks a day I’ve a clear idea about what type of

ad units to be placed in a web page and where

This is the basic plan of my ad placement A 728X90 Image header (for me, this is a money maker ad spot) A 336X250 text links inside/top/bottom of the post (this one also will convert well) and 160X600 text and image ads at the right side (or left) If you would like to have a link unit, place that one as well

Change the size of the ad units according to your web page design But keep the positions unchanged This is the perfect ad spots for me so far While placing text links make sure that you’re using font and background color the same as that of the content This is necessary for a better Click through rate

There was a 250X250 image ad at the right side, but for the time being I’m using an opt-in form there I didn’t want to make the front page full of promotional stuff and ads so removed the ad slot But there is no harm in using many numbers of ads I try to keep the look of the websites a little :) Now have a look at the single post pages (article pages)

I think that’s enough with the usual strategies Let’s look into the TECHNIQUE

to improve the CPC and Earnings with the same traffic.

The important thing is the CPC – the cost per click you receive If you can increase that, your adsense earnings will dramatically improve

Now let’s dig deeper to see how to do it

The website shown above is the most ad-revenue generating website But as you could see below the CPM and CPC was low, even when we had descent CTR and traffic

This is the screenshot I took for one month of May See what? I had nearly

100 clicks that week with this website alone but a total of 36 dollars You may think this is fair enough But I wanted more :P As I told before, I was thinking what if I could double the CPC with all the sites? That’d definitely bring me a lot of money every month – completely on Auto pilot So started the research

My first finding was:-

Many of you would be having this same trouble Several high traffic pages of our websites are having ads from Google owned services – Adwords, Google places etc Result? The CPC was very low The clicks were getting 0.01 to 0.05 dollars In short, it was ridiculous Google was pushing their own ads (they are doing the same with all the traffic generating websites) on my website and I had no idea how to avoid these ads to bring in high CPC ads

That’s how I found this Perfect Insider Technique

I wanted to show only those ads which were paying high CPC I wanted to avoid all the less paying ads from my entire website

And I found it

The first step was to short list the URLs which were shown in my google ads Simply clicking on the ads to find out the URL can only harm our account So I found some other way to do this

Google Adsense Preview Tool

This is the most wonderful help I ever had from Google This is a simple tool (from Google – Go get it here) using what we can identify the URLs of ads displayed in our website

You have to click the link above, and download the tool (remember it will bring only with internet explorer) you can find more details on how to install it (it’s really simple) and how to run and even how to uninstall this with the very same link above Once you’re installed it, go to internet explorer And open your adsense website where you want to check the ad URLs, performance CPC etc Once you’ve opened your website ‘Right Click – anywhere in the page’

You will see the Google Adsense Preview Tool Button once you’ve clicked on the right mouse button as shown above

Now you will see the tool as shown here:

You can find the adsense URLs of the websites whose ads are shown in your website – Check all of them and Click on the Show selected URLs

(Now don’t think about why low CPC ads are being shown in your website even though you’re targeting high paying keywords Haven’t you heard about the 0.01 Clicks Google Adwords strategy?? Yeah, in content networks people can

do this So stop worrying a lot about how they get it – Let’s remove them :))

Copy the listed URLs to a notepad.

So, no we have the URLs of the ads of the particular web page we’ve selected The next thing is to find the exact details of their (these adsense URLs) CPC

I had no idea how to do this So started to search, after a few websites I tried alexa.com where we can find only limited information about the Google adsense performance of a website But still the data was not enough I wanted complete details, CPC, ads etc But while looking at the alexa information I found something else, (was searching details of one my ads living social)

The iSpionage tool (URL http://www.ispionage.com/research/default.aspx) I found at alexa, was something more than enough for me I could access the exact details I was looking for:

Free version will only tell the top ten results But you click on the top of each column (to sort from low to high and from high to low) to get a better idea

on it Or you can also use http://www.keywordspy.com/research/ which I found later To know the details about the CPC and keywords Checking the keywords and CPC would tell you an exact idea of the CPC you’re receiving at your website This way we can list the websites which are paying lower CPC

So now we have done a good work and listed the URLs of the adsense websites which are paying a very low CPC But how to remove these ads from

my website? Only then I get a chance to bring a better CPC better performing Adsense ad Right??

Yes, exactly and for that we’ve the next tool from Google:

What is it about?

See what Google says about it - Google AdSense provides the functionality

to block specific ads from appearing on your pages Although Google ads are highly targeted to the content of your page, there may be situations in which you don't want to display particular advertisements for example, you may wish to block ads leading to competitors' sites

The competitive ad filter works by blocking ads that link to specific URLs This way, you can easily block all ads that are linked to your competitor at www.example.com By entering a top level domain such as www.example.com, you'll also block all ads that link to subdirectories below that domain

And now what?? Now you’ve everything You have the tools to find the low paying ads and you have an option to block them But what if my website is receiving ads from more than a dozen of low CPC websites? Don’t worry, using competitive ad filter you can block up to 200 URLs :)

Now login into your adsense account (you can do this only after logging in)

Enter the low CPC URLs you wish to block from showing adsense on your website

And you’re done Wait for a couple of minutes and will see that the low CPC ads are disappeared from your websites Wow!!

The change with my adsense earnings is really amazing All it took was a few minutes to do this whole thing and it has increased the total adsense revenue

of my websites

And you know what – you can see the changes in your CPC in a couple of minutes once you are done the blocking of the low CPC websites Isn’t this a very simple task for such a great return?

Look at the website we were talking about (screenshot taken after the changes have been made) – all the low CPC ads (including the Ads of Google – Google Places, Google Adwords etc.) are gone Now my sites are having high CPC ads bringing me a better CPM

I started all this to block Google’s own ads from my websites But now I’ve removed almost 24 low CPC URLs from my website And the result is what??

My adsense earnings are on a high :)

Look at my current stats, the change is visible Traffic has not at all increased Even the CTR is dropped But my CPC increased – to a whopping 400% :)

It’s better to receive 12-13$ for 15-20 Clicks than getting a couple of dollars for 30-40 clicks Isn’t it? The below stats shows the adsense revenue for the same website for the entire June (this month – 18 days) Compare the CTR with the previous Stats (7days of May which is given at the beginning) you will see the CTR drop and the CPC increase If the CTR also becomes high this would be a 500-600% of your normal adsense earnings
