Deposit guarantee schemewhich …

 protects customer deposits in full– and thus goes far beyond the guaranteed

amount of 100,000 € currently required under European legislation!

 ensures that savings banks will continue to operate, i.e that they will discharge

all their obligations and that bank accounts will be maintained!

Since the Joint Liability Scheme‘s inception in 1973,

 not a single customer of any Savings Bank, Landesbank or Landesbausparkasse

has lost any deposits or savings,

 no compensation has ever had to be paid to depositors,

 and no member institution has failed to honour ist financial obligations nor has

there been a single insolvency!
