An Giang Province, bordering Cambodia, in the  Mekong Delta region of Vietnam

situated 250 km west of Ho Chi Minh city

territory of the Kingdom of Funan (Vietnamese:

 The town is near the picturesque mount of Sam  where the Sam Mountain Lady (Vietnamese: Bà  chúa x  Núi Sam) is worshipped.ứ

 There are 03 religions:

 Châu Đ c is famous for its variety of fish sauces ố (n c m m ướ ắ ) and mainly "m m tai", a kind of ắ

anchovy. The local economy is based on culture of  basa catfish export and on tourism. The town is a  busy trading center due to its border position 

with Cambodia
