Trang 17CHAPTER 3: TASK, PROJECTS
AND ACTIVITIES
1 DAILY TASK ACTIVITIES:
Due to the time of social distancing at the start of the internship, the center offered online teaching.I worked four days a week At 5:40 p.m., I had to prepare materials, assessments, and check attendance for students During the lesson, the teacher used a variety of games toengage students in learning new vocabulary and sentence patterns in each lesson I helped the teacher with managing the pupils and reviewing the previous lesson to ensure that they completed their homework at home before the session began However, the teacher may use warm-up games or exercises to recap the prior session before beginning the lesson I was responsible for checking students' past lessons and homework throughout I also aided pupils throughout the learning process when they encountered difficulties. After a period of social distance, the center began to teach offline, and my work had changed slightly I had
to be at the center at 6 p.m every day to set up materials, tests, and prepare for the students'arrival at 6:50 p.m Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we had students measure their body temperature and gave them hand sanitizer before entering class Then we were allocated to any class to help the teacher with classroom management
Each course includes a number of exams (typically one after four classes) I was in charge
of creating regular tests for the students, as well as providing answers and explanations in the next lesson. The tests are used to assess the student's grasp and understanding of the lesson as well as the efficacy of the instruction At that time, I replaced the lead teacher to observe the test
The Titan Center also provided extra classes to pupils who had unsatisfactory results Each extra class generally consisted of one to four students and a teaching assistant I'm in charge of reinforcing the students' knowledge and focusing on the topics they don't comprehend I had to submit the number of students to the management every day to check the students'
Trang 18attendance I also had to make a report to the administrator at the end of the week to provide feedback on the student's progress in the private classes.
2 PROJECT TASK AND ACTIVITIES:
Due to the social distancing period, the center was unable to participate in classroom activities with students; instead, the Titan center planned a word guessing game with related words for Christmas Eve to play At the end of the lesson, everyone gave each other good wishes.
Titan's teachers also create attractive and appropriate backgrounds for the entire class to use over the Christmas and Lunar New Year holidays to make the classroom seem cozier.
Trang 19CHAPTER 4: REFLECTION
1. REFLECTION ON DEVELOPED WORKING AREA AND SKILLS
Titan is an extremely professional learning environment with dedicated, well-trained, and highly specialized staff members and teachers As a result, when exposed to this
environment, one's chances of finding and developing a career are excellent To intern at Titan English Center, I have to have a certain level of knowledge and skills Fortunately, I had extensive experience teaching English to children, which gave me an advantage in completing my internship After applying to this facility, I will be trained to adapt to the job more quickly and precisely
The facility's communication is almost completely conducted in English As a result,
as a foreign language student, this is an opportunity to get more exposure to thelanguage I'm learning while also strengthening my English skills
The working environment at The Titan Center changes on a regular basis to keep up with the current As a result, if I work here, I must always improve in a constructive way It is critical that I retain and develop my knowledge and talents throughout the internship Moreover, I must have a professional working attitude, be punctual, and have a forward-thinking approach at work
2 REFLECTION ON PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT DURING THE INTERNSHIP
As a teaching assistant at Titan English Center, I've learned a lot about myself When I worked as a teaching assistant in a TOEIC class, I did my best to manage the class, assisting the teacher and providing support to numerous students Instead of theoretical teaching in school, I had the opportunity to use this expertise as an intern at Titan Center As a result, I've enhanced my
classroom management skills In addition, I must practice observing classroom skills, exam design skills, and speaking abilities to help students comprehend easily in order to fulfill the function of a teaching assistant so that I may respond to students' queries as needed and ensure that they are always paying attention during the class.
Trang 20My English skills, which include listening, speaking, reading, and writing, have greatly increased In addition, I am more self-assured when giving a public speech and expressing
my viewpoint in front of pupils Most significantly, I must have a responsible working mentality as well as a polite approach toward students, staff, teachers, and even the
students' parents, in order to operate in a professional setting like Titan.Because knowledgeisn't enough to make someone a valuable employee The importance of both knowledge and attitudes cannot be overstated
Trang 21CHAPTER 5: CONCLUSION
