My Stevens experience was about exploring the different challenges engineers work to solve and acquiring a diverse set of problem- solving skills and the background knowledge necessary to be able to tackle them I am so grateful for all the clubs and activities that helped build my leadership skills, the numerous opportunities to work on hands-on engineering projects and present my work, the ability to attend so many cultural events through the Pinnacle Scholars Program, and the amazing research experience I had working on algae biofuels All of this enabled

me to jump right into the upstream process development labs at Merck - working on the production bioreactor for a highly accelerated COVID19 vaccine program I needed to learn and contribute very quickly and thanks to my experiences at Stevens, I am able to do that!

Four years ago, I would have never thought that my current career prospects would look the way they do now Four years ago, I would have never thought that my professional network would be this wide or that my opportunities would be this plentiful As a first- generation student coming into Stevens, I didn’t even know what opportunities or possibilities could be available to me Now, I truly realize and appreciate the value of an education, more specifically the value of a Stevens education Stevens provided me with more than technical learning and research opportunities It provided me with a strong network, a lively community, and a supportive environment for personal growth I am proud

to be a Stevens graduate, and even as I go forth in my career - first as a PhD candidate at the University of Oxford and then as a tech entrepreneur - I will always thank Stevens for

setting me up for success.
