Since 1976,Mr Gardnerhas served the DelawareValleyas a journalistand news
anchorforWPVI-TV(ActionNews) His awardsarenumerous,buthisostensiblemarkis aprofessional longevity, consistency, anddedicationto the Philadelphia region.Theson ofaprominentphysician, Mr Gardnerwas bornandraised inNewYorkCity.Hereceivedhisbachelorofartsdegreefrom ColumbiaUniversity,and itwastherewhere hegothis first tasteofbroadcast journalism Hereportedonthestudentriots atColumbiain 1968fortheuniversity'sradiostation,WKCR-FM.
