Trang 3SAAS Part-time Fees Grant
Notes for students starting either in Trimester A or Trimester B who wish to apply for the above grant
Step 1
Please note that if you wish to apply for this grant and if you intend to study in Trimester A and then intend to return in
Trimester B to continue your studies, you must apply in Trimester A for the grant The grant is only available once per
Session You would also indicate on the Trimester A form any Trimester B course(s) you expect to take However,
students starting in Trimester B can apply for the grant in Trimester B.
If you only wish to study in Trimester A, you can also apply for the grant However, if you study in Trimester A and do
not indicate any Trimester B courses at that point, you will not be eligible in Trimester B to apply for further Trimester B
funding.
Please note eligibility below:
If you take up to a maximum of three fundamental level papers in 2013/14 and earn under £25,000, you could be eligible for £455 per subject through a Part-time Fee Grant from the Student Awards Agency for Scotland For more information

Important notes:
when a Trimester B Application form will become available However, if a student has already studied in
Trimester A in the same Session, they cannot re-apply for Trimester B funding
this grant.
Session (i.e Trimester A and Trimester B) regardless of level, even if a paper(s) isn’t at a level which can be funded For example, if a student is taking two fundamental level papers plus one professional level paper this would count as three papers In this example, the two fundamental level papers may be eligible for funding but the professional level paper would not be eligible
apply for Trimester B funding up to a maximum of three papers.
Step 2
Your Part-time Fee Grant application for support must be with SAAS no later than three months after your course starts However, before Student Records can help you to complete the Part-time Fee Grant application you will need to be registered for session 2013-2014
Important note:
Once you have registered, you should either send your Part-time Fee Grant application to Student Records or bring it to the Student Administration Services desk in the Saltire Centre or email a scanned copy of all six pages of your SAAS
