PROTECTING

Reduce, reuse, and recycle Cut down on what you throw away Follow the three "R's" to conserve natural resources and landfill space.

Volunteer Volunteer for cleanups in your community

Educate When you further your own education, you can help others

understand the importance and value of our natural resources.

Conserve water The less water you use, the less runoff and wastewater

that eventually end up in the ocean.

Shop wisely Buy less plastic and bring a reusable shopping bag.

Use long-lasting light bulbs Energy-efficient light bulbs reduce

greenhouse gas emissions Flip the light switch off when you leave the room

as well!

Bike more Drive less.

Protecting our Earth start with us! There are so many small habits

that we can do to live a more sustainable and environmentally

friendly lifestyle With Earth Day coming up on April 22nd, let's

consider how we can reduce our carbon footprint!

Set priorities Focus on what’s important Let the other stuff go.

Identify tasks that you can share or delegate, then ask for help.

Get organized Disorganization can make things confusing and

hard to remember.

Set short-term goals you can reach Reward yourself for

meeting them!

Say no (gracefully) to taking on more obligations.

Focus on the positive Choose to look for the good in others

and yourself.

Laugh! Look for humor in your everyday life, or watch a funny

video.

Listen to music Choose tunes that relax or revive you.

Talk to a counselor or a friend.

Remember, things don't have to be perfect Sometimes “good

enough” is just fine.

Take a time-out for yoga, meditation, or some deep breaths.

Get regular exercise Find something you like doing that you

can work into your schedule.

Set aside some time, even 5 to 10 minutes, for yourself each

day.
