Deacon Daniel Bernard Haggerty

Michael Dennis Haggerty, Sr.

Deacon Dan Haggerty was ordained as a Deacon of the Archdiocese of New Orleans on December 12, 1981 He has served as Parish Deacon of Resurrection of Our Lord, St Brigid,

St Simon Peter, St Margaret Mary, and is currently assigned at St

Deacon Haggerty completed the Archdiocese Spiritual Director's Formation Program in 1991 and now serves as a Spiritual Director with the Archdiocese He has completed his course of studies for Deacon Haggerty also serves as Chaplain for the Slidell Police

The oldest of eleven children, he quit high school at age 17 and enlisted in the United States Navy, where he served three tours of duty in Vietnam; receiving the National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal and the RVN MUC

Upon his return from the Navy, he attended Loyola University on the G.I bill (at night) and received his Bachelor's Degree in Business He is a Graduate Fellow of the Institute for Court Management of the National Center for State Courts An Independent Court Consultant since 1985, he is a former Deputy Sheriff of the Jefferson Parish Office, serving

in the Patrol Division He is also the former Chief Deputy Clerk of the Criminal District Court

He and his wife, Janet, have been married for fifty years and have seven children, twenty

Mike served in the U S Air Force from 1966 through 1970 and is a Vietnam Veteran He was posted to the Avionics and Electronics career field where he maintained Inertial Navigation Equipment on F-4 Phantoms in Thailand and maintained Doppler radar equipment while

Mike went to work for South Central Bell in 1971 He transferred to AT&T headquarters in Basking Ridge, NJ in 1981 and helped prepare for the breakup of the Bell System Mike moved to the newly created BellSouth Corporation in Birmingham AL in 1984 after the breakup In 1991 Mike began a career as a Corporate Security Investigator Mike spent 24 years in Corporate Security and retired from AT&T with a total of 44 years While operating in the security industry Mike served as the Gulf Coast Chapter Chairman of the American Society of Industrial Security He was a Director on the Mississippi Gulf Coast Crime

Mike married his childhood sweetheart, Sandy Walters, also of the Irish Channel, in 1967 while serving in the Air Force Mike and Sandy have been married for 50 years and have four children, four grandchildren and one great grandson Mike, Sandy and their family reside on

Patrick Edward Haggerty Sr (Pat) was born August 24, 1948 to Daniel Bernard Haggerty and June Katherine Elliott Pat’s parents are both WWII veterans, his father served as a paratrooper in the

Pat is the 3rd of 11 children (3rd of 6 boys) He grew up in the Irish Channel on Constance Street and attended St Michael’s Grade Registered Nurse having completed his training at U S Army Fitzsimons General Hospital in Denver, Colorado in 1972 while serving as a combat medic in the Army He also served five years in the Louisiana National Guard Upon completing his military service,

he attended and graduated from Loyola University earning his BBA

Pat worked 5 years as a nurse in the Intensive Care Unit at St Charles General Hospital in New Orleans while completing his undergraduate and graduate degrees Upon graduating, Pat accepted a position as Hospital Administrator of West St James Hospital in Vacherie, LA

He accomplished Board Certification in Health Care Administration and within a short period achieved Fellowship status with the American College of Healthcare Executives He remained

in the healthcare administration field over the next 42 years Pat is currently a partially retired healthcare consultant and in 2015 was awarded the status of Lifetime Fellow in the American

Timothy O'Neil Haggerty

Pat is married to Mary Jo Komodowski Haggerty They share three (adult) children, Melissa, Jessica and Patrick Jr and six grandchildren Pat and Mary Jo now reside in Baton Rouge,

Pat has always enjoyed fishing and in 2005 became a U.S Coast Guard Licensed U.S Merchant Marine Officer He is licensed by the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries

as a Charter Captain Pat is also a PADI certified Rescue Diver He provides guided fishing

Pat, along with his brothers, is excited to be representing the Irish and the Irish Channel as one of the 2018 Grand Marshals It is also a huge honor to represent the Haggerty family as one of the 6 Grand Marshals I know my parents are watching with pride and joy as we proudly wear the colors of both the Haggerty name and the Irish Channel Saint Patrick’s Day Club

Tim Haggerty was born August 30, 1950 to Daniel Bernard

boys) He grew up in the Irish Channel on Constance Street

Veteran having served four years in the United States Navy

Upon completing his military service Mr Haggerty want to work for South Central Bell Telephone Company He has been with the BELL System (now AT&T) for a total of 33 years Tim was a technician with South Central Bell and a supervisor until 1987 Tim moved to Memphis Tennessee with AT&T as a National Service Manager Tim is currently with AT&T in Tim has been happily married to his loving wife Lorraine F Linker for 41 years Mr and Mrs

Ed Haggerty was born September 16, 1953 to Daniel Bernard Haggerty and June Catherine Elliott Ed is the 7th of 11 children (5th

of 6 boys) He grew up in the Irish Channel on Constance Street and attended St Michael’s Grade School He also attended Andrew Jackson Elementary School, St Alphonsus Junior High School, Live Oak Junior High and Redemptorist High School Ed received his GED from East Jefferson High School Ed attended Delgado College and graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Science (Air Condition and Heating) Upon completing Delgado, he went to work for Hyatt Regency Hotels, where he worked for 30 years, starting in New Orleans He also worked at Hyatt’s in Houston, Texas and Louisville, Kentucky He retired from the Hyatt Regency in 2014

to start his own company, Haggerty Services, LLC Ed presently works for the W Hotel French Quarter as Director of Engineering/Security In the past 30 years, Ed has also worked as a Reserve Officer with different police departments, including the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office,

Ed has been happily married to his loving wife, Avri Lee Richmond for 30 years They have two daughters, Haley Alyssa Haggerty and Rainey Danielle Haggerty Haley is a graduate of the University of New Orleans and lives in New Jersey where she is a teacher Rainey served 4 years in the US Navy stationed on the USS Harry S Truman during deployments for Operations Inherent Resolve and Enduring Freedom She has returned to Metairie and is attending Delgado College Both of their daughters served on the Irish Channel court, Haley as a maid, and Rainey

Edward Aloysius Haggerty II

Bryan D Haggerty (Bryan) was born June 28, 1955 to Daniel Bernard

Haggerty and June Catherine Elliott Dan was born and raised in the

Irish Channel June was born and raised in Bay St Louis MS Dan and

June are both veterans of World War II and were married at Fort

Benning, GA in 1945 at the end of the war Dan served as a

served during World War II as a Radioman 3rd class in the Waves (US

Navy) as a Morse Code intercept operator Dan and June had 11

children, 5 girls and 6 boys They raised all of the children in the Irish Channel It may be safe to say a

Bryan is the 6th and youngest son and the 9th oldest of the 11 children He grew up in the Irish Channel living on Constance Street until 8th grade and attended St Michael’s Grade School for first grade and finished his elementary studies at St Alphonsus Catholic School He graduated from Redemptorist High School in 1973 Bryan attended Loyola University graduating with a Bachelor of Public Administration

Bryan served in the U S Air Force from 1973 through 1977 with his last two years assigned to the 52nd Fighter Wing, European Theater, Spangdahlem Air Base, Spangdahlem, Germany Bryan also served in the U.S Air Force Reserve as a First Lieutenant, assigned as a healthcare administrator, Keesler Air Force Base, Biloxi, Mississippi Bryan has maintained a private law practice, primarily on the Northshore, since 1999 He presently serves as the City Attorney for the City of Slidell, Louisiana Bryan is married to Sherlene Gerdes Bryan and Sherlene have been married for 38 years and have three children and two grandchildren Bryan and Sherlene reside in Slidell, Louisiana, and are parishioners of St Margaret Mary Catholic Church Bryan joins his five older brothers in sharing the excitement and honor having been selected as Grand Marshals for the Irish Channel St Patrick’s Day Club for 2018 I know my parents and ancestors are watching with pride and joy as we proudly wear the colors of both the Haggerty name and the Irish Channel Saint Patrick’s Day Club
