Is this project intended to be temporary or permanent? Explain what the funds will pay for:
Describe the intended audience for this project and what efforts you will make to benefit the broader community
Describe any partners in this project and what role they will play (financial, providing space, technical assistance or other):
Explain how you will gauge a successful outcome to this project:
Temporary
All funding will be used to purchasing materials for signage, domains, QR codes,
and advanced settings for website
The project is accessible to anyone with a smartphone Unfortunately, QR codes
can only be scanned on modern devices Of course, this will limit community
participation But, considering pandemic restrictions, a virtual experience proves to
be a safe and easy way to engage a broad audience I do not doubt that "Scanning
a QR code" is foreign to some; however, each sign will provide scanning
instructions to ensure that the audience is informed on how to participate

Trang 4PROJECT DETAILS
DURATION:
About 1 year - February 20, 2021 - January 2022
SET UP & TAKE DOWN:
I will install and take down all artwork I graduate this next semester but will be living in Atlanta, GA next year, a 5-hour drive
DESCRIPTION:
Jukebox Therapy is a platform for the community to add songs to a site specific,
collaborative playlist I would like to either install removable 3M Vinyl stickers (12'x12'')
at the newly designed bus shelters or 3M Vinyl Stickers (5’’x5’’) inside buses Each sticker will read "Jukebox" with directions to scan a QR code After scanning, the
participant is led to an online experience where they are asked to recommend a song that motivates them to move forward I plan to have additional 3D signs placed along the Salem Lake Trail I have chosen to work in liminal spaces, places where we are in between places Considering that society is in a metaphorical liminal state, as the pandemic continues to impact our world, I believe that these places hold deeper
significance Music speaks to most of our shared life experiences, and often reminds us that we are not alone My hope is that these playlists can offer a source of healing, joy, and unity during a time of uncertainty, transition, and divisiveness
HISTORY:
Jukebox Therapy installations were placed around the Wake Forest Campus in the Fall
of 2020 The playlist is made up of hip-hop music and currently has over 73 song
submissions
