International program to foster creative problem solving for children from grades 1-12

Most recent team from the Francis W Parker Charter Essential School in Devens, MA

Primary role of the Team Manager is to encourage students to solve challenges creatively Team was awarded five DaVinci Awards for outstanding creativity and risk taking and placed ninth and fourth at the Global Finals in Knoxville, TN in 2005 and 2006

Topics discussed included guidelines for writing children’s books, current trends in children’s literature, knowing what editors want and how to approach them Classes were very successful and often continued as writing groups offering support and feedback
